EquipLoopInternal asset IDs and retail identifiers serve different jobs
The generator creates Code 128 and Code 39 symbols from the values you provide. These are useful for internal equipment identification, such as matching a scanner input to an asset register. Generating the symbol does not reserve or register that number globally.
The tool does not generate EAN or UPC symbols and does not issue GS1 identifiers. If your products require a retailer-approved identifier, follow that retailer’s requirements and the appropriate identifier allocation process. Use this tool for your internal asset labels within its supported formats.
